My journey

For many decades I was stuck on the never ending corporate treadmill – heavy responsibility, high pressure, unrelenting deadlines. I rushed from day to day juggling single parenting and work demands. Although stimulating and exciting such a heavy schedule caught up with me.

Burn out

I was burnt out, stressed and exhausted. My health deteriorated. The 3am racing mind syndrome affected my sleep. Finding balance was impossible. I didn’t have the time, energy or head space to fix any of it. I just kept running to keep all the balls in the air. Then life forced me to stop. I knew I had to take control and find balance.

Taking my life back

My first step was a leap of faith – sailing around the world – Durban to Durban – on a very small boat. Facing all the lessons and challenges of crossing oceans – I had to reconnect with my strengths, resilience and resourcefulness.

I studied, deepening my knowledge of nutrition, health, wellness and mindset strategies to transform my life.

Looking back

I realised what a huge impact having support and guidance would have made to my life and my child’s.

I don’t want anyone else to have to struggle when there are alternatives and solutions.
